And we’re back… to the issues! (finally)

Although I am extremely worried about the downfall, domino-effect of the market right now (and even more worried about the apathy of my generation.. c’mon guys, remember Hoovervilles from your history class?), the one good thing the whole catastrophe has done is to shift the focus of the campaign from Palin pandemonium back to the ISSUES… namely, the economy.

John McCain has been quoted on saying that he “doesn’t know much about the economy,” and more recently, on September 15, the day that Lehman Brothers crashed, he said “the fundamentals of our economy are strong.” I definitely disagree… but let’s let the man speak for himself:

Hmm… rather fishy. BUT, in his defense, I think a presidential candidate doesn’t have to be an expert on everything to be a good, solid leader. I think the best choice for a presidential candidate is someone who has some Washington experience, and most importantly, is willing to surround himself with experts he will LISTEN to in his Cabinet. I believe Obama will do just that, and I don’t have any reason to believe McCain won’t either. However, I agree with Obama’s views on things, and so I would agree more with the experts he would surround himself than McCain’s. Just my thoughts.
